Our second community hike for 2024 is at Mt Dandenong, Ferntree Gully to Sassafras and return.

Community Hikes are a great chance to explore beautiful hiking trails, socialise with your training buddies or reconnect with trekking friends.

Get to know this 8.2-km point-to-point trail near Mount Dandenong, Victoria. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 39 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail.There are some steep descents, so hiking shoes or trail runners are recommended.

* Please note we will do a 'car pool' from the LAT Studio (350 Hampton St.), leaving at 7am for anyone interested.
